He is capable of interesting set-pieces, but I find his characters largely underdeveloped.
Maybe that has improved in the films since I gave up on him. The last film of his I watched was Interstellar, & I must admit that I gave up in boredom before the end, so I cannot judge the work as a whole, because I couldn't be arsed to watch it in its entirety.
