The wealthy not only have more to protect, but more means with which to protect it. If you haven’t read Ray Madoff’s book, “The Second Estate,” I heartily commend it to you. She’s a tax and estate law expert, and writes passionately about how American society has managed to fuck itself with its Byzantine tax code.
