July 13, 2026 @ 16:06 Good afternoon family & friends❣️ I hope you are staying cool today. How come I never heard of a "heat dome" until this year? I guess we're under one now, with temps in the upper 90s (not unusual in summer once in a while) and heat indices in the low 3-digits. I remember when it would get this hot when I was a kid and staying with Gram at her house at Higgins Lake, and she would pack up food so we could hang out at the beach...with the breeze off the water and the shade from the trees behind the beach we were plenty cool. Of course now we live a short distance from the bay (at the purlicue of the mitten) but here we sit. Go figure 🤷. I wouldn't want to leave the animals home alone in this heat anyway though. Staying cool to me means spraying myself with a water botter and sitting in front of the fan. Our tiny bedroom a/c doesn't keep up well when it is this hot. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse but we'll deal with that when we get there. Speaking of which, I will see you then, enjoy the rest of your day❣️😑🐕🦺🙏🌱🎹✝️
