There's some crazy chemists on YouTube that recreate processed foods from styrofoam and various types of plastic, latex gloves, whatever raw chemicals etc.
Because a lot of processed foods are made from petroleum oil products, which is also what plastics are made from, it's just a matter of changing the chemical structure and removing or adding some elements to it so that it becomes digestible.
