Every time I hear ecogeeks cheering over the dismantling of a hydroelectric dam, I have to cringe and think, "Won't that be severely disruptive to the *new* ecosystem?"
Never mind that all that power is actually kind of useful, if it's not unfairly distributed. Would the people upstream of a new dam be quite as upset, if they got to use the hydroelectric power?
