People who understand it just need to start accepting it for their goods and services. It’s not inspiring when a bitcoin influencer accepts bitcoin donations or takes bitcoin for their online courses about bitcoin. It’s like a pastor acting like a good Christian; of course they do, it’s their job. If a regular person who provides a service, (like massage therapy for example) if they start accepting bitcoin, it matters. It means something. Their identity isn’t wrapped up in bitcoin so it stands out. Just like when a member of a church congregation acts in accordance with Gods word for its own sake rather than being paid to.
But here’s the rub, people need to UNDERSTAND it to start accepting it. And that’s where I don’t have the best answer.
Shooting from the hip: I suppose I can explain bitcoin to my clients and offer discounts for paying in bitcoin. I can lead by example. I’m not financially stressed or worried about some of the everyday problems that plague people because I have bitcoin. But are they really gonna understand the deeper principles? Are they suddenly gonna be orange pilled? Probably not. Unless I can keep watering my garden so to speak. Which, in my massage career, I can.
