The issue is when people start to ‘identify’ as left. They assign themselves maximum kudos points for that label.

It’s based in the belief ( IMO ) that the things they prioritise are ‘moral’ and ultimately ‘what must happen’ and as such, the methods used to get there are always justified by believing it is needed to reach what is 'moral and right’ - especially when the methods used to get there are not.
