Shrovetide Feast is an old tradition taking place in Dragør and Store Magleby in southern Amager (Denmark) on both Shrove Sunday and Shrove Monday. introduced by Dutch immigrants in the 16th century, riders wearing high hats, white shirts and black vests go at full speed against a barrel with raised clubs riding their decorated horses. When the last barrel stave is knocked down, the lucky man or woman will be awarded the title of Barrel King or Barrel Queen of the Year. #denmark #photography
