I believe they have the right like any other nation to exist and defend themselves, and that right should be respected.
I'm sad that American end times theology is so wrapped around the modern, secular state of Israel that anything they say goes (and we cluelessly fuel wars from all sides). I don't think the current Israel is trusting in God or is necessarily equivalent to the Biblical Israel, even if they will eventually turn to Him.
The Palestinian Delusion by Robert Spencer (and his other books) are very worth reading - those overcorrecting for Israel's outsized influence on the USA by rooting for the other side should study Islam and its history and the history of this conflict and what's been tried.
