I was amazed when a local amateur group said "We don't do covers" a few years ago.
As if this was beneath contempt.
We have all that classical music; every time it is played or sung that's a 'cover'.
And singer song writers weren't so common when I was younger.
Sometimes I wish they weren't now, some good song writers don't sing well.
