Q. how important is party membership?
As LibDem membership halves & the Greens overtake them (in numbers of members), and in light of the earlier drop in Tory party members, we might wonder, if this is a leading indicator of a party's future?
Certainly as the LibDems point out even with falling membership they did exceptionally well in the last election, but perhaps changes in members take time to work through?
We'll have a better idea in four year's time.
