The *increase* in autism, which is all that rfk jr and Trump are talking about, is obviously caused by exactly what you describe: you just didn't get diagnosed in Gen X. There was stigma, there was no help available, doctors didn't know about it. Now we diagnose more. The prevalence of autism was very likely similar all the time. We can't prove otherwise because there's just not enough data.
JFK doesn't care about the cause of autism, and even if Tylenol caused it, that wouldn't be the point. It's fascism doing what it always did: making up a threatening scenario and pretending to "solve" it with simple solutions. 1/2
