Less "neglect" and more "not helicopter parenting". We went through some interesting stuff as kids in Gen X - usually alone.
Some of it was horrible, yes. A lot of it was just learning to get by without having someone holding your hand constantly.
Interesting. And being in this generation, I can safely say there’s a lot of truth in that, more than most people are willing to admit.
