I only have anecdotes for Square's bitcoin.
Of three vendors who use Square, one accepted Bitcoin before March 30, the date Square made it default. I tried twice to spend BTC there, once before March 30 and once after. Neither time was a transaction abke to be made.
Of the other two vendors, they both opted to disable the capability. Why? The answer from one of the two, "I don't believe in that". When asked doesn't it save on transaction fees he laughed and saidit costs him 6%.
I have no proof of the 6%, and wasn't about to ask another question. I personally doubt 6% is the case, but I will be finding out what the real deal is.
