the 35RC (42mm f/2.8) is great just a tiny bit bigger but almost twice the weight of the XA. It is fully manual (my key draw) with shutter priority (light meter works ok on mine). The also manual 35RD (and predecessor to the XA), a bit bigger than the 35RC, has a f/1.7 lens and would be ideal. But that essentially gets it close my Canonet QL GIII which is unfortunately not pocketable in civil society.
XA2+ are just not appealing with slower shutter/lens and no rangefinder! Why!? 😭
