The utter devastation that has been brought by the construction of Rail Baltic in my hometown is just frustrating. An entire giant strip of forest was just destroyed/cut down to the ground on both sides of the river side and far up to the horizon. On one side of the river was supposed to be a park that IIRC was some kind of protected area and yet not a single group like local Green Party even made a peep. No one.
