i meant they would suffer from people who could build their own houses. Every dollar you don't borrow is ten bucks the bankers don't make. Stupid, oversized, overpriced houses make stupid, oversized, overpriced mortgages.
The consequence would have to beither an inflation in the costs of building materials and land (even more than now), or damage to the financial sector.
