Essentially businesses get taxed in multiple ways, when considering the supply chain, there are business taxes in the form of sales taxes for materials, income taxes, building taxes, taxes the business pays for workers, insurance taxes, liability taxes, and more, then there's the consumer facing side of the supply chain... there's fuel taxes, import taxes, corporate taxes for the transportation company, along with insurance / liability taxes, then there's again the building and land and lease taxes, and much more, then there is the consumer, who also pays import taxes, sales tax, fuel taxes, income tax, land and building taxes (whether renting, mortgaging or owning).
The supply chain is bogged down by govts majorly taxing each part of the supply chain 10 ways, and then there's the black/military budget which is basically where that money goes...
Why is, let's say, a smartphone, taxed so much...?
I wish income tax were abolished, along with sales tax and estate tax, inheritance tax, land taxes, etc....
Either tax the business or tax the individual, but the business lowers pay w/rt business taxes anyway, and same happens with sold items, the burden of cost being higher is a natural consequence of overregulation
