The hypocrisy of Water UK (representing Water firms) is staggering; they say:
'We cannot delay upgrading & expanding vital infrastructure any longer. Ofwat needs to reconsider its approach & approve these plans [including massive prices rises] in full so we can get on with it'
And why has the upgrading been delayed? dividend payments & financial engineering to extract money from the sector.
We've already paid for this work; the investors took the money!
