So many exciting-looking OBCs and phones and the like, and pretty much all of them have an initial partly-working port that rarely, if ever, gets updated. Then you get a bunch of slightly-better-working-but-not-by-much community ports done as a one-off by a single developer who drops development shortly afterwards. So you're left with a half-working device that's never really usable.
