My objection is simple: BIP-110 can’t achieve its stated goal. Arbitrary data cannot be prevented in a programmable, permissionless system.

There are already multiple working BIP-110 compatible solutions to achieve this.

That leaves a breaking consensus change which disrupts existing users without actually solving the problem.

Core 30 changed the default relay policy to better reflect the reality that miners can and do include these transactions through other channels. That’s very different from proposing a consensus change to solve a problem that, by the BIP’s own admission, cannot actually be solved.
