Facing this truth does not absolve men, rather it gives us an honest place to begin as people who want to shift into a matrifocal, child and earth-centered paradigm (which is the only sustainable option at this stage of the game).
Declaring that if all women just ran the world right now the world would be healed and free, is lazy at best and sinister at worst. It lacks any acknowledgment of intersectionality, the truth and complexity of shared histories and the role white women have played in colonising the world.
All humans need to be actively dismantling internalised power structures that reward complicity with the capitalist colonial patriarchy.
History continues to repeat itself until we can face complex truths that make us uncomfortable, this is how we can actively do the work of unifying and creating a different paradigm not out of blind faith, but out of lessons learned.
Women are not a monolith. We have intersecting experiences of the systems of this paradigm. If you don’t know or have never listened to history beyond the white centric lens it is beyond time to do so. Listen and learn from the experiences of Indigenous nations. There’s so much work to do, to get beyond the fantastical notion of unity without truth."
