I thought I would find goodness here,
and that a voice of suffering could not be ignored.
But instead, I saw indifference and turning away from the pain I live with every day.
I am not asking for pity, nor am I looking for promises.
I only want this pain to be seen,
and for it to be acknowledged that we are human
we get tired, we feel afraid, and we need someone to hear us nothing more.
