Being in an intercultural marriage (🇬🇧🇫🇮) is interesting because cultural differences emerge at the most surprising moments.
Currently, we are planning our son's 4th birthday party in a few weeks and I thought I might make a jelly, because to me, that's the quintessential kids' party dessert.
When I mentioned this to my husband, he looked at me as if I have three heads. He even asked around at his workplace and the reaction was one of confusion and disgust.
Now I'm afraid no one will like it, even though it was one of my childhood favourites. Should I make it anyway?
Worst-case scenario, I just eat it myself 😂
