An iCalendar file is a relationship graph, not just a list of dates. Recurrence overrides pair a UID with an original occurrence, zoned local times refer to exact TZID values, and folded physical lines become logical properties. Importers must interpret those seams.
ICSpect is a local read-only preflight for component nesting, required fields, DATE/UTC/zoned/floating forms, recurrence master/override relationships, and referenced versus defined timezone groups. Its fully synthetic two-event fixture reports one missing-zone group without exposing the identifier. A missing embedded VTIMEZONE is review evidence, not a prediction that import will fail; destinations may supply their own zone registry.
Reports omit absolute paths, UID, TZID, summaries, descriptions, locations, attendees, organizers, URLs, raw date-time text, and the parsed calendar graph. Private exclusive-create output is available for CI. File names, line ranges, and timing categories can still be sensitive.
No recurrence expansion, timezone execution, repair, upload, URL fetch, authenticity claim, RFC certification, or importer prediction. Test a copy in a disposable destination calendar.
