So I "inherited" an old Dell monitor which has a soundbar kind of thing with an 1/8th inch audio cable, now plugged into my main NetBSD machine. When the monitor would blank out due to no activity, alas, the audio feed went mute. Such a waste to stream an audio feed that no one can hear! Fixed by kicking off xscreensaver. Constant activity now.
