This was a funny song from 8 years ago that I enjoyed as a Jew, making light fun of the grimness of Jewish history and thus every Jewish holiday.
The comments are laced with overt antisemitism now. The comments make me sad. Current events make me sad.
I'm so tired of overt antisemitism. I'm not religious. I am a Jew by heritage and ethnicity. It is shocking and increasingly numbing, how much western antisemitism lay latent as I grew up feeling safe in America. I thought focusing so much attention "remembering" the crimes against Jews of history was foolish. Turns out I was the fool. Humanity was even worse than I thought, which is saying a lot.
