Yeah, just going off prior experiences, I'll probably have it turned off.
For us, pollution became really difficult to actually deal with once we got into LV. We moved out steel production to the nether as some sources recommended, but it turned the dimension into even more of a death trap if we weren't wearing our hazmat suits and even with the BBFs removed, our base was still putting out enough pollution to poison our animals by the time we hit MV.
The pollution scrubbers didn't make much of a dent by the time we unlocked them, so we made the decision to turn the mechanic off. Might do the same for taint or whatever the magic pollution is called if that's possible because the threat of it did kind of hamper our enthusiasm to engage with that side of the pack.
