No 1: My encounters with animals
(ALT) A small herd of elephants in the mid ground of the photo is crossing an area of grassland near Twyfelfontein in Namibia. The background is a low range of mountains dappled brown in the evening sunlight. The foreground is a strip of thicker grass with the occasional bush.
We waited three hours in the evening to see these rare Desert Elephants. The total population is under 200 and they roam over 20,000 sqKm. It was a spiritual experience.
