I went for a stroll around Exeter earlier this week, while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. I was surprised to find that the recent rash of nativist flags was still in evidence there; dozens of particularly tall lamp-posts with flags at the top. My mind boggles that people are willing to take the risk of severe injury to cable-tie the symbols of nationalism and racism to high places like this. 🙄
