A Brown economics professor gave his students a take-home midterm this spring after students expressed anxiety following a school shooting. The majority of the students got near-perfect or perfect scores.

He decided to have finals in-person; 18 dropped the class, 7 skipped the finals, with the results for the rest below.

On one hand, it seems rough to hear that companies are no longer interested in hiring for entry levels but on the other hand, cheating due to AI is so rampant in schools that it seems like the safest bet instead of hiring people who have no understanding of the work. *sigh*
