There's a lot of talk about the secret bunker that would be built under Trump's ballroom. Worth noting that pretty much ANYTIME anything is excavated on government property on D.C. at the White House or anywhere else, it's used as a cover for building or expanding something secret underneath. This goes back many, many years.

Long ago, I was visiting at federal agency HQ in D.C. (that shall remain nameless), and my host walked me through the basement as a shortcut. As we went down the hall, there were a pair of double doors propped open, and as we passed I glanced over to see a long, featureless, well-lit hallway seeming to stretch literally out to the vanishing point. I didn't ask.
