In its ideal form, I really like the land grant university - USDA-ARS partnership and the state and county extension agent system. But I don't want to assume this is the only or best way to disseminate research and other horticulture, agriculture, and public health information.
What other systems do folks have familiarity with that they think work well for getting publicly-funded hort/ag/food science info to the public
