As a Fedora user for about 9 months I've entirely given up on watching videos directly. Browser window (e.g Jellyfin) or VLC in Lutris appear to be significantly less buggy.
Has it worked? Yes, I have got it working. But it doesn't remain thus, and is still worse (slower, and doesn't readily support VLC's GPU upscaler).
Although my overall experience with Fedora is it is more buggy than Debian. In so far as my Debian system has had zero issues. I just happened to find well written SecureBoot driver signing instructions for Fedora before I found them for Debian (but never had to find them for Windows).
