We don't let them play video games.
We have always banned the mainstream media on our house.
No cable or satellite TV in our house. We torrent a lot of stuff (mainly pre 2015 entertainment), and strongly filter new movies and TV shows. Serve the movies over Jellyfin.
No cell phones until they're 14, and then it's a locked down GrapheneOS phone with no internet access and no social media. Just text and school/church apps with a few family friendly apps.
