One might suspect one reason for such quick editing is that long, lingering shots invite the audience to scan the whole frame & take it in. If he isn't interested in setting up & framing things, preferring simply to centre everything, that speed may be necessary.

If the camera lingers, there may be nothing new for the audience to take in. All that matters has already been seen.
