It looks like the SSD is in another case - look at the keyholes that show the label on the drive. Also the 4 Philips screws are a giveaway, original drive case screws are generally star screws - you’re not supposed to be able to open them easily. Unlike external cases or adapter cases.
I’m guessing that once out of that case the SSD has a native SATA i/f.
