Black soldier flies make quick work of such things, but if it's buried too deep they may not be able to reach it as well.
(They won't eat the stink part on a skunk though, which makes for a very unpleasant time bomb so that would probably need to get buried REAL deep or put somewhere far from areas frequented by people)
