#FDNY is one of the oldest #nyc government departments. i think it was under Michael Bloomberg that, in order to squander money on the #NYPD, the powers that be decided to merge the then department of Emergency Medical Services with the #FDNY.
MOST OF #FDNY’s WORK IN MANHATTAN IS RUNNING AMBULANCES
