Part 1:
Midland - There is a lot of land… this city could be said to be in the middle of it. So fair enough I guess.
Odessa - Apparently Greek in origin. Means a long way away, a journey particularly a difficult or painful one. Most accurate town name out here by far.
Greenwood - There are no woods, nothing is green.
Garden city - Not a city, no gardens in evidence.
Sterling City - Also not a city, if there’s silver it’s well hidden.
