Having labored myself to climb up, being 175cm and somewhere over 95kg, getting a bit wet was welcomed. I was in good quality new walking shoes by Merrell, Burt I still had moment wheee my foot slipped on both going up and down. Not advised for anyone in open shoes! Whenever I took photos or video, I made sure one hand was holding onto something. As the water was backlit by the sun, I could see light diffraction through it.
As I slowly made my way back down, I offered encouragement to people who were struggling, with “nearly there!” or “it’s worth it, keep going!” - comments people made to me whenever I stopped on my way up to catch my breath.
Anyway, if you go to Lauterbrunnen, you’ve got to do this climb. It’s right on the ended of town but gets busy in the afternoon (yes I know, that describes almost all attractions in Europe!).
