The FT has joined the clamour for 'inevitable' benefits' reform (read benefits reductions); as always such sentiments are expressed by those who've seldom be so troubled by the need for state welfare!
Its another aspect of politics that has been poisoned by the lies of the Right wing media; for years they've exaggerated welfare fraud, and the idea of people living a care free life at the expense of working taxpayers... a narrative that has slowly spread & now shapes policy.
