Monero is a fiat shitcoin, indistinguishable from ZCash or any of the litany of privacy shitcoins riding Bitcoin's coat-tails.
If you want to use it as a payment network go right ahead, it's no different than countless others. You and the 30 others that think centralized Tor marketplaces are the darknet can have fun selling it for Bitcoin when you're done transacting.
