Yeah, that's my understanding as well.

I'd consider going to FreeBSD just 'cause it has the broadest amount of support in community and hardware but the project seems to be as wishy-washy as Alpine re: slop so what's the point? For me, it would be kind of reducing utility to in terms of hardware support to end up in the same place.

I like OpenBSD conceptually but I find the community support off-putting the few interactions I've had/seen and it has even less hardware and software support.

NetBSD just doesn't fit what I need.

Elementary is a "safe place" currently, IMO (systemd notwithstanding 😜).

I'd like to see them re-baseline on Debian Testing the way Tuxedo is doing but that's unlikely to happen any time soon, if ever. And it's certainly not a reason not to use e. Ha.
