Second, you may want to check out a book called Evidence that Demands a Verdict. Interestingly, a weird part of Christianity is that there were hundreds of prophecies fulfilled in the person of Jesus. (And some after) So you can actually test many claims. The case for the existence of God goes much deeper than that but it speaks to verifiable historical predictions.
