Credit expansion gives the appearance of a deeper capital structure than reality, which leads to overspecialization. That’s how you can create our current, paradoxical situation: high unemployment (especially when you include labor force participation) with high job openings. What’s finally being exposed as both the long term debt cycle and cycle of empire turn, is structural rot and malinvestment that took place over decades as a result of artificial credit expansion.
