That said, I believe your ideas of individual rights is almost spot on.
I have the right to do what ever I wish so long as it does not interfere with another's right tendons he wishes.
As a Christian, I have these rights, but also wish to please God. So I restrain myself from things that do not please God.
The problem with society is simple enough.
We will never have perfect government without perfect people, who need no government.
