we are still saving due to insecurity & the cost of living crisis - saving as precaution!
High(er) interest rates have contributed to more saving & less consumption;
as higher interest rates do not feed into higher consumption, but higher mortgage payment do reduce it...
Well, she should have a chat with her sado-monetarists as this is what they clearly wanted!
