One concern I have is let's say everyone agrees that Bitcoin is controlled by the nodes. Even in that scenario what's to stop governments and corporations from filling warehouses full of racks of nodes running whatever version of Bitcoin they decide?
Plebs have to work months to years to be able to afford node hardware but all these guys have to do is print fiat to buy as many as they want.
