I was watching a critique of the ableism in Harry Potter yesterday & thinking about all of the fucking injustice that Rowling put into her world with no desire to critique or explore it & wondering "ok, but what should you expect from a children's story when it comes to these topics?"
Well, Holes would be an example of a children's story that isn't necessarily *about* any of these things but manages to present them *as problems* in the world.
